Position Overview We are seeking a District Sales Manager located in the Southern, CA area to highlight their technical sales talents within Southern, CA. This position reports to the West Regional Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Metrology Equipment, be self-directed, have a resourceful spirit, and the focus required to deepen market share within the assigned region.
Responsibilities
Territory Management: Develop and execute sales plans for the assigned district, identify current key accounts, and cultivate new customers within existing and emerging market segments.
Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and customers to understand their needs and offer tailored solutions. Daily travel up to 80% within the district, with occasional overnight travel.
Channel Partners: Support and educate the distribution network with ongoing technical assistance, quotes, new product updates, demonstrations, and promotions to promote the Mahr brand.
Product Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments to position Mahr metrology equipment effectively.
Forecasting: Daily utilization of Salesforce CRM; create opportunities, events, and tasks related to engagement and district management.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (marketing, customer support, product development) to ensure a cohesive, customer-centric outcome.
Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of proven outside sales experience within dimensional metrology or a closely related industry (outside sales experience with industrial capital equipment will also be considered).
Leadership skills to support distribution channels and representative personnel (preferred).
Strong communication, negotiation, and selling skills with the ability to build lasting relationships with customers and colleagues.
High level of self-motivation; able to work independently and as part of a team.
Based from home office or Cypress, CA; willing to travel up to 80% within the district.
