Job Title: Territory Sales Growth Manager – Residential & Small Commercial Solar
Location: Albany, NY (Field Leadership with Office Presence)
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Base Salary Team Commission Override Performance Bonus (OTE: $130K–$180K ) (No Cap on Commissions)
Key Responsibilities
Implement and lead structured one-on-one coaching sessions, focusing on results, pipeline reviews, and development.
Protect and prioritize coaching time, dedicating at least 16 hours weekly for ride-alongs and training.
Define clear roles and expectations for each sales rep to ensure accountability and discipline.
Utilize CRM tools to monitor and analyze activity metrics, pipeline health, and results, driving data-driven decisions.
Develop a performance-oriented sales culture, leveraging accountability frameworks to elevate team performance.
Lead, coach, and motivate a team of residential solar sales consultants.
Lead recruiting efforts to identify, attract, and onboard high-performing sales reps.
Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline through proactive outreach, referral programs, and networking in the local market.
Facilitate onboarding and ramp-up of new hires, ensuring early adoption of systems, process, and expectations.
Collaborate with marketing, operations, and leadership to optimize conversion and customer experience.
Maintain accurate and timely reporting on team performance, sales forecasts, and market trends for leadership.
Use CRM and reporting tools to generate dashboards that support performance reviews and sales planning.
Provide strategic input to leadership based on field feedback, market intel, and sales data analysis.
Ensure CRM adoption and data integrity across the sales team.
What We’re Looking For
A proven track record of demonstrating the ability to coach others to success.
Strong discipline in time management and agenda-driven meetings, with experience making 1:1s count.
Familiarity with a coaching & accountability management style —focusing on concrete metrics over gut instinct.
Commitment to foundational sales skills: structured prospecting, messaging clarity, targeted pipeline building, and disciplined follow‑up.
Proven experience managing a successful B2C sales team (solar, home improvement, or similar industries strongly preferred).
Deep understanding of the residential sales process and buyer journey.
Proven success in building sales teams from the ground up or scaling teams in high-growth environments.
Natural talent scout—knows how to spot coachable, driven, and value-aligned candidates.
Proficiency in CRM systems, pipeline reporting, and sales metrics.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and strategic thinking skills.
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
