District Sales Manager - IgG4 - Upper Midwest (Rare Disease) role at Amgen. This position leads a team of Specialty Account Managers in the IgG4-RD space to drive market penetration and achieve sales goals. What You Will Do

Lead area geography and team of specialty account managers (SAMs) to ensure market penetration by analyzing market dynamics and data, setting strategic action plans and executing with excellence to meet IgG4-RD sales goals. Provide a clear, compelling sales purpose for the team both clinically and business-wise. Ensure effective use of resources, including territory management tools/data, cross-functional partners, marketing tools, etc. Build business strategy aligned with corporate and therapeutic area goals. Manage administrative duties, ongoing learning of self and team members, operational expenses, program funding, etc. Ensure team members operate within regulatory guidelines in all aspects of promotion, program implementation and product compliance. Train and prepare the team to maximize business/sales potential and deliver a crisp, high-impact product message. Achieve organizational sales goals and relevant KPIs related to execution. Foster a productive work environment and act as a business partner across the business unit. Collaborate across divisions within the business unit to achieve objectives. Recognize and reward outstanding individual and team sales performance; build a professional organization. Address performance issues decisively and appropriately. Develop internal and external customer relationships to drive Amgen’s IgG4-RD objectives. Deliver informative insights and influential messages to gain support for initiatives. Develop and communicate a professional growth plan for self and team members. Continue education on IgG4-RD market issues/trends and product knowledge relevant to business interests. Apply new technologies to enhance efficiency and expand knowledge and skills. Weekly ride-alongs with written feedback and coaching for team members. Represent the organization at local, regional and national trade shows. Contribute input to regional and national sales meetings (content and objectives). Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to safety practices. Maintain a positive, professional demeanor with customers and coworkers. Adhere to Amgen policies and procedures. Doctorate degree AND 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience OR Master’s degree AND 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience OR Bachelor’s degree AND 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience And 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing allocation of resources Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 4+ years sales management or 8+ years pharma/account management experience in rare disease Sales experience in biologics, infusion, and/or rare/specialty products preferred Rare Disease experience preferred Buy-and-bill experience preferred Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks preferred Requires approximately 80% travel, some overnight and weekend commitments Proficient in Microsoft Office Professional, proactive demeanor Strong interpersonal skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Essential Core Values and Competencies
