Senior Catering Sales Manager (Wedding Focused) – Hotel Emma The Senior Catering Sales Manager (Multiple Venues) role is designed for a passionate, service-oriented individual who excels in both client relationship management and driving revenue for the hotel's meeting space and restaurant space services. This position is critical to the success of the hotel’s catering business, requiring expertise in sales, operations, and customer service. Primary Responsibilities
Business Development and Account Management: Solicit and service weddings, local corporate catering events, social events, and meetings for the hotel’s meeting and restaurant spaces; balance maintaining current business with active prospecting; cultivate and sustain strong, profitable client relationships. Revenue Management: Meet or exceed catering revenue budgets; collaborate with the Director of Catering and Conference Services and Director of Sales to achieve food & beverage goals; maximize revenue by coordinating room rental fees, catering charges, and ancillary services; implement marketing strategies to enhance sales efforts. Coordination of Events and Groups: Manage the hotel’s catering events; coordinate logistics for groups, meetings, and catering events (room arrangements, menus, special requests); monitor rooming lists, cutoff dates, billing, and VIP needs; ensure smooth coordination with all hotel departments. Operational Excellence: Provide accurate forecasts for food & beverage revenues; monitor and adjust meeting space usage; conduct site inspections; ensure documentation and follow-through for every event booking; oversee invoices, commissions, and timely billing/cancellation management. Team Collaboration and Administrative Support: Schedule interdepartmental meetings; participate in required hotel leadership meetings; complete special projects in a timely manner. Job Requirements
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred; 2+ years of catering experience in a similar hotel or hospitality setting with a focus on weddings and event coordination; luxury hotel experience preferred with a track record of managing high-end catering events. Skills and Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of catering sales; ability to balance client service and profitability; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Delphi, and other sales tools; strong written and verbal English communication skills. Operational and Managerial Competence: Familiarity with hotel operations (catering, guest services, interdepartmental coordination); ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high client satisfaction.
