www.guestworldwide.com Position Summary : The Sales Consultant promotes the Company’s products and services by building relationships with new and existing customers to become their most valued and trusted business partner. This outside sales role uses consultative selling techniques to grow sales of amenities, textiles, room accessories, paper, janitorial supplies, cleaning, FF&E, and MRO products to hotels, management groups, and other markets within an assigned territory. The main goal is to help customers succeed while achieving sales and profit targets. Compensation includes a base salary plus quarterly bonuses based on KPI achievement. Primary Responsibilities : Responsible for maintaining and identifying new sales opportunities within current and prospective accounts. Make sales calls and presentations to develop and sustain strong customer relationships, increasing sales and category penetration. Use consultative selling, product knowledge, ROI, system tools (e.g., Phocas, GForce, Salesforce.com), and sales training resources to target new prospects and market growth. Manage assigned accounts actively, taking corrective actions as needed, and regularly consult with clients about new products, company updates, pricing, and opportunities. Notify management of at-risk accounts or unresolved issues. Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to ensure timely payments. Communicate with internal departments to provide vital information for servicing customers, including updates on product changes, new business, and proprietary information. Assist in setting up new accounts, including CAA, order guides, pricing, and scheduling. Forecast sales results and trends accurately within your territory. Minimum Education & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business preferred. 3-5 years of successful sales experience, preferably in hospitality or supply/distribution sales, with a proven track record. Experience in relationship sales, managing new and existing opportunities, and upselling is preferred. Territory planning and account prioritization experience are advantageous. Skills & Abilities : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and professionalism. Ability to clearly present and respond to inquiries via email and phone. Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills. Effective in-person presentation, negotiation, and closing skills. Creative and solution-oriented thinking. Active listening and feedback incorporation skills. Ability to convey ideas persuasively and instill trust. Goal-driven, proactive, team-oriented, and familiar with financial concepts. Prompt responsiveness, problem-solving skills, sound judgment, tactfulness, and resilience under pressure. Responsible and punctual with excellent work habits. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office 365, CRM systems, and analytical tools. Valid driver’s license and insurance required for travel. Remote work requires reliable internet and a dedicated workspace. Nice-to-have Skills : Salesforce, Microsoft Office 365, experience in New Jersey. Physical & Work Environment : Regularly sit, stand, walk, and operate a computer and phone. Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Frequent travel for appointments, training, and trade shows.
