Zwelling Law, PLLC is looking for an Associate Attorney to help with our high volume of healthcare defense litigation cases. Candidates should have 2-8 years civil litigation experience, preferably in the area of medical malpractice and/or nursing home litigation. The position initially is mentor-based until the candidate demonstrates competency to manage files. The candidate will work under the supervision of a senior partner. Salary is $100,000 to $150,000 based on experience. Responsibilities
Drafting legal documents, including motions and pleadings Review and analyze clinical data Assist with the discovery process by administering depositions, issuing interrogatories, and reviewing documents 2nd chair trials: perform legal research as needed Make court appearances Draft and assemble responses to written discovery Writing opinion letters Taking and defending depositions, analyzing clinical data, and managing files from start to finish Attorney Requirements and Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school License to practice law in Illinois Litigating experience (2-8 years) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Analytical skills Attention to detail Benefits
