Overview
The Sales Consultant represents Southern Glazer's in the market as a member of the SGWS family. This person is passionate, innovative, and self-motivated with a business-oriented, customer-focused mindset. Primary responsibilities are to visit customers, conduct consultative sales conversations, and increase sales revenue through face-to-face selling built on trust with customers and supplier partners. Primary Responsibilities
Build positive, credible, lasting customer relationships based on trust Discover and identify customer business growth needs Develop a customer business growth plan for each account and build a pipeline of selling opportunities to drive incremental sales above base business Analyze data and insights to increase sales, grow customer business, and better achieve objectives Pre-plan account visits with an agenda, service purpose, and selling opportunities documented in CRM (Proof) Prioritize sales activities to achieve objectives based on each customer business growth plan Visit accounts regularly, capture visit notes, and build visit plans documented in CRM (Proof) Maintain deep knowledge of SGWS products and present them effectively in each account Propose selling solutions and win the sale using consultative selling skills Achieve internal SGWS and supplier objectives as prioritized by management Manage customer issue resolution and identify opportunities to support customer needs and business growth Adapt the selling approach based on each customer's buying styles and business needs Stay current with competitors and position SGWS products accordingly Document and maintain account- and customer-specific information in CRM (Proof) Participate in sales meetings, on-site training, and supplier events as required Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications
21 years or older Ability to analyze and understand data and information Ability to leverage SGWS technology to perform duties Ability to build and structure customer presentations and product proposals Proficient with mobile devices and online communication techniques in a professional manner Consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances Responsible and reliable with a high level of customer, supplier, colleague, and management service Effective communication skills across various methods; tailored messaging to the audience Flexible and adaptable to change; open to innovative ideas Team player; works collaboratively Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment Must possess a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain/maintain auto liability insurance as required High School Diploma or GED required Able to travel as needed Must be at least 21 years of age Physical Demands
Desk work: sitting and typing using a computer or mobile device Walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping Driving throughout the day with segments up to 2 hours May require lifting up to 56 lbs This position is safety-sensitive.
