Reporting to the Regional Human Resource Business Partner, the

Senior Human Resources Business Partner

is a strategic, hands-on leader responsible for all HR functions at our Marshall, TX manufacturing facility. This role is instrumental in cultivating a high-performance culture, fostering strong labor relations, and serving as a trusted advisor to plant leadership and staff. A key focus of this role is

leading labor relations in a unionized environment . The HR Leader serves as the

primary liaison with union leadership , ensuring compliance, collaboration, and effective resolution of labor issues. This individual must be a

confident communicator and voice of reason , capable of influencing decisions, guiding leadership through complex employee matters, and maintaining a positive and productive workplace culture. The HR Leader is accountable for the

effective implementation of HR best practices , including employee relations, regulatory compliance, performance management, talent acquisition and development, succession planning, internal communications, policy administration, payroll, compensation, and benefits. They are also the

go-to resource for senior leadership , frequently called upon to deliver clear, accurate, and balanced insights that support critical business decisions, including the ability to

craft and present compelling narratives

using data and context to influence outcomes and drive alignment. The ideal candidate is

comfortable navigating shifting priorities

in a dynamic manufacturing environment while maintaining focus on long-term strategic goals. They will be a

driver of team development and organizational growth , elevating HR capabilities and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and engagement across all levels of the plant. Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for union relations, including contract interpretation, grievance handling, negotiations, and labor strategy. Act as a trusted advisor to plant leadership, providing timely, data-driven insights and guidance on complex employee relations and organizational matters. Monitor employee engagement and morale through direct interaction, surveys, and feedback mechanisms; develop and implement strategies to improve retention and satisfaction. Partner with the Plant Manager and leadership team to align HR strategies with business goals and drive a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement. Lead the implementation of HR best practices, including performance management, talent development, succession planning, staffing, compensation, benefits, and compliance. Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy, including town halls, small group meetings, surveys, and one-on-ones to foster transparency and alignment. Champion a high-performance culture by facilitating leadership development, coaching, and continuous improvement initiatives across all levels of the plant. Drive change management efforts, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations while building organizational resilience. Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and orientation processes to ensure a seamless and engaging new hire experience. Manage the leave of absence programs (FMLA, STD, LTD, and personal leave) and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and policies. Lead the annual labor cost planning and monthly reporting process in collaboration with global and regional finance and HR teams. Track and report on key HR metrics and KPIs, using data to inform decisions and continuously improve HR service delivery. Ensure consistent application of corporate and local HR policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Promote and model the company’s core values and behaviors, ensuring they are embedded in all HR programs, policies, and daily interactions. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Exceptional internal and external customer service orientation. Proven ability to build and sustain a positive employee relations and engagement strategy. Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR initiatives to operational goals. Skilled in leading complex change, managing competing priorities, and driving transformation. Trusted advisor with the ability to coach, mentor, and influence at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to develop HR solutions that deliver measurable business results. In-depth knowledge of federal and state employment laws, compliance, and dispute resolution. Proficient in HRIS systems, data analysis, and reporting tools. Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field; PHR/SPHR certification preferred. 7+ years of progressive HR leadership experience. Proven success in a unionized manufacturing environment. Proven expertise in labor relations, including contract negotiations, grievance resolution, and union engagement strategies. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, coach, and challenge senior leaders using data-driven insights. Demonstrated strength in conflict resolution, crisis management, and building trust across all levels of the organization. Business-savvy and results-oriented, with a deep understanding of how HR drives operational performance and organizational success. Track record of leading and developing high-performing teams in a collaborative, team-based environment. Success in talent management, including identifying, developing, and retaining top talent. Solid working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, with experience developing and implementing compliant HR policies and procedures. Work Environment

This role is based on-site at the Marshall, TX, manufacturing facility, with the HR office centrally located on the plant floor to enable real-time engagement with employees and leadership. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment where visibility, approachability, and responsiveness are essential.
