A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its litigation group in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will possess exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills, and will work in a professional yet relaxed environment. This full-time position offers the opportunity to collaborate with a highly experienced team of attorneys and staff. Duties
Conduct file review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action. Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs. Represent clients in court, at arbitrations, and in depositions. Draft and respond to discovery requests. Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses. Prepare for and attend trials. Travel may be required. Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience with an emphasis in employment law. Familiarity with handling civil cases from beginning to end. Experience taking and defending depositions, including 30(b)(6) and experts. Proficiency in drafting and arguing substantive motions, attending hearings, and trials. Experience in negotiations and mediations. Admitted to practice in the state of GA; other states a plus. Superior analytical and problem-solving skills. Solid research abilities and written and oral communication skills. Strong work ethic and ability to self-manage and work in a team environment. Must respond promptly to email and phone inquiries. Excellent client skills and telephone manner. Education
J.D. degree from an ABA-approved law school. Certifications
Admitted to practice in the state of GA. Skills
