Overview
The New York City Law Department is accepting applications from admitted attorneys with a minimum of 10 years of litigation experience for the position of Senior Counsel in the Affirmative Litigation Division. Division attorneys handle matters across subject areas including inter-governmental disputes, municipal corruption, public health, products liability, insurance coverage, commercial disputes, intellectual property, tenant and worker protection matters, civil enforcement of the Administrative Code, fraud and false claims act cases, and property damage claims. Work from Home Options
After orientation, attorneys hired by the Law Department may elect to work from home under one of two programs. The first option allows remote work on a limited and irregular basis. The second option is a Citywide pilot program allowing two set days to work from home each week. The two days must be approved by the attorney’s division and require more than 50% staff coverage each day. If an in-person court appearance, client meeting, or other in-person work related event on a set work-from-home day is required, the attorney must attend to those responsibilities and will not be able to work from home that day. Participants must set one work-from-home location, and the pilot program is currently being tested Citywide and is not yet permanent. To Apply
