Miebach Consulting is seeking a Senior Consultant specialized in Logistics Automation Implementation to lead the on-site execution of warehouse automation and material handling projects. You will serve as a critical bridge between our engineering design teams, automation vendors, and client operations — ensuring seamless delivery, integration, and go-live of systems such as ASRS, AGV, robotic palletizers, conveyors, and control systems. You will take ownership of project phases from commissioning and testing through ramp-up and stabilization, providing leadership, technical problem-solving, and hands-on support throughout implementation. Key Responsibilities
Lead the execution and start-up of automation systems including ASRS, AGV fleets, conveyor lines, and robotics. Coordinate commissioning, FAT/SAT testing, and issue resolution across all implementation phases. Supervise technical integration with warehouse IT systems (WMS/WCS) and control interfaces. Provide on-site operational support during go-live including troubleshooting, shift coverage, and SOP validation. Act as primary point of contact for automation vendors, system integrators, and client engineering teams. Validate design intent and technical compliance through installation and ramp-up. Collaborate with cross-functional client teams to ensure operational readiness and knowledge transfer. Develop and deliver user and maintenance training for automated systems. Support creation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintenance plans, and emergency response protocols. Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement for future automation rollouts. Maintain solid understanding of IT integration (WMS/WCS/PLC/MES) and stay current with automation technologies. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Mechatronics, or related field. 5–8 years of experience in automation implementation for logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing. Proven experience with ASRS, AGV, shuttle systems, robotic arms, and material flow control. Strong project management and supplier coordination capabilities. Hands-on commissioning and testing experience is essential. Solid understanding of IT integration (WMS/WCS/PLC/MES). Fluency in English; additional language skills (Spanish/French) are an asset. Willingness to travel up to 40% for implementation and ramp-up phases. Employment Details
