Overview
Franchise Operations Consultant
for Smoothie King (SKFI) is a brand champion responsible for executing strategic initiatives to drive growth and excellence in operations across a territory of approximately 30-50 franchised locations. The role ensures consistent execution of brand standards, including food safety, product quality, guest service, and store ambiance, and collaborates with Franchisee partners to grow sales and profitability. Responsibilities
Develop, coach, and mentor Franchisees; provide business and operational guidance and lead through influence. Secure commitment for corrective actions and act as a partner for Franchisees to achieve success. Collaborate with Franchisees to teach and enforce operating procedures, brand standards, P&L, COGS, and labor management; present compelling rationale for following company recommendations. Conduct gap analyses between goals and current performance; recommend improvement opportunities based on business planning, operations, guest satisfaction, and marketing effectiveness. Lead financial and operational KPI discussions (P&L, COGS, inventory, labor productivity) to track and improve performance; identify opportunities and develop resolution strategies. Diagnose barriers to guest experience and store performance; lead goal setting and support development, implementation, and measurement of success. Conduct onsite reviews and audits of Franchise stores to ensure adherence to brand standards (Food Safety, Quality, Service, Cleanliness) and operational metrics. Monitor guest feedback, reviews, and social media; create and execute action plans to improve guest experience. Oversee new store openings within the designed territory, ensuring successful hand-offs and training as needed. Coordinate with leadership and legal teams to support standard enforcement across stores. Partner with Field Marketing to provide leadership and drive sales, transactions, and new guest acquisition. Champion Smoothie King’s mission and values; ensure alignment across the Franchise system. Plan travel efficiently and use systems/tools to execute effective visits. Qualifications
Undergraduate/graduate degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of direct experience in a field-operations leadership role within food service or multi-unit retail; direct experience with branded franchising is highly preferred. Intermediate to advanced P&L analysis, inventory, and operations management experience. Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with restaurant back-office tools is recommended.
