Substance Use Disorder Counselor **SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE**

The Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join their compassionate team. This role is on a 5-week rotation for weekend coverage and offers a $10K sign-on bonus. Responsibilities: Provide substance use disorder treatment services to patients according to the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation standards of care, policies, and procedures. Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs, goals, and progress. Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions to support clients in overcoming substance use disorders. Educate clients and their families about substance use disorders and recovery strategies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other counselors to coordinate care. Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress. Assist clients in developing coping strategies and life skills to support long-term recovery. Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities. Qualifications: Required Qualifications for Substance Use Disorder Counselor 1: Bachelor's Degree Completed certificate/degree program in addiction counseling or equivalent Current and active license: MN: LADC CPR certification or attain within 30 days Proficiency with technology and computer skills to document in an electronic health record system, attend virtual meetings, and manage Outlook emails and calendars Must satisfactorily pass a state/license specific background check Required Qualifications for Substance Use Disorder Counselor 2: Master’s Degree Current and active license: MN: LADC Proficiency with technology and computer skills to document in an electronic health record system, attend virtual meetings, and manage Outlook emails and calendars CPR certification or attain within 30 days Willingness to obtain additional licensure per business need Must satisfactorily pass a state/license specific background check Preferred Qualifications: Independent Mental Health License: LMSW, LPCC, LCSW, LMHC or equivalent Overview:
