Assist clients effectively by understanding their needs, analyzing the situation, then strategizing and deciding on a proper course of action Organize and maintain client files to ensure they are kept current Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process Attend court proceedings as needed to represent clients Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases Qualifications
Experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property) for at least 1-2 years is required Prior work or studies in criminal justice preferred Great negotiation and communication skills, particularly in stressful and emotional situations Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association) Compensation
Compensation:
$75,000-$100,000 per year
