About the Team
The People Business Partner will join our People Operations team and help create an amazing experience for our employees. This individual will report to and work closely with the Senior Manager, People Partners & Operations to align and support our Operations & Protection teams as well as corporate programs. You will support leaders and employees related to employee relations, compensation, performance management, talent planning, and leadership development. You will serve as a strategic People Partner to the Operations & Protection organizations, supporting the people strategy and providing guidance to leaders and employees on all HR-related matters. Strategic Planning & Execution: Lead efforts regarding talent strategy for the Protection and US Operations organizations, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives Execute key HR initiatives that directly contribute to the success and growth of the Protection and US Operations teams Partner with and advise leaders on people-related strategy and decisions, including organizational design, planning, policy, and compensation Collaborate with Protection & US Operations leaders to forecast hiring needs based on project roadmaps and data analysis demands Analyze metrics, people reports, and datasets to identify trends and develop integrated solutions, programs, and policies Employee Relations & Coaching: Manage day-to-day employee relations issues for the organizations you support Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations Provide coaching to leaders on effective prioritization, stakeholder communication, and team motivation Assess and identify leadership development needs for leaders, designing and implementing targeted coaching and training initiatives Offer tailored performance management guidance, including coaching and career development, to managers within Protection and US operations teams Employee Engagement & Culture: Act as an employee champion and change agent as we grow our workforce and expand globally Lead efforts to create a supportive culture through employee engagement, inclusion and belonging, and rewards and recognition execution Build relationships with your respective business leaders and attend their team meetings Assist in developing people-oriented programs to positively impact the employee experience Drive key initiatives to strengthen work relationships and foster a positive team environment Implement strategies to boost productivity and retention within the Protection and US operations teams Performance Management & Training: In partnership with People Ops leadership, provide strategic guidance to leaders on all people-related matters, including compensation, talent development, and performance management, acting as a key partner to drive organizational success In partnership with People Ops leadership, lead the performance management process, including annual check-ins Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of the success of training programs and follow-up to ensure training objectives are met Compliance & General: Ensure activities are in compliance with all state and federal employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO, and FLSA) Performs other related duties as assigned. Your Profile
5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a significant focus on supporting operational teams in a fast-paced environment BA/BS degree or equivalent experience Proven experience supporting and advising leaders in fast-paced environments Experience working closely with managers on team structure and scaling Experience in project management, rolling out, and supporting people programs Strong desire to help others and intellectual curiosity about people and organizational issues Effective interpersonal skills and a great listener Ability to influence managers/leaders with data-driven recommendations to improve performance, retention, and the employee experience Must be a confident communicator (including both written and verbal) and have the ability to explain complex and/or confidential information as well as effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, including the senior leadership team Excellent problem-solving capabilities and judgment; ability to make sound decisions independently Strong consulting, coaching and facilitation skills Demonstrated project & program management/change management skills Strong conflict resolution/mediation skills Comfortable operating in a constantly changing, matrixed environment Working knowledge of Arizona state and federal employment laws Demonstrated ability to embody and champion our core values: grounded, expressive, bold, and driven Bonus if you have
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, I/O Psychology, or Human Resources Management preferred S/PHR and/or SHRM S/CP certification is a plus For this role, the target base salary range for Phoenix is $100,000 - $125,000 annually, and your recruiter can share more about the specific range for your location. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. In general, our ranges reflect the minimum and maximum market-based targets for the role based on its level and location and are subject to change. Within the range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
