Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH) is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant II or Acute Care NP, RNFA to join our cardiac surgery OR team. This full-time position offers the opportunity to partner with cardiac surgeons and OR Nursing staff. Location

Physician Assistant II, Acute Care NP, RNFA – Cardiac Surgery OR Schedule
Four ten-hour clinical shifts per week On-call requirement during non-routine hours to assist attending physicians in urgent and emergency procedures Responsibilities
Assist cardiothoracic surgeons during surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair/replacement, and other complex cardiac surgeries Perform tissue handling such as incisions, retraction, dissection, suturing, and providing hemostasis Perform chest closure and assist in transporting the patient from the OR to the CVSICU/PACU Harvest saphenous vein and radial artery for bypass procedures (endoscopic or open) Assist with cannulation, graft anastomosis, valve placement, decannulation, femoral access catheters (including IABP) and other tasks of open-heart procedures Requirements
Current licensure as a Physician Assistant (PA) or an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in Maryland Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program or Master/Doctorate in Nursing, Acute Care NP For Acute Care NP, certified as RNFA Certification as a Physician Assistant (NCCPA) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams OR experience required (at least 2 years). Prior experience caring for cardiac surgery patients and proficiency in endovascular vein harvest (including arterial harvest) preferred Compensation
Salary Range: Minimum $61.54/hour – Maximum $95.39/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. Salary discussions may occur during candidate screening calls if a range is displayed as $0. Equal Opportunity
