role at Health eCareers. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai South Nassau seeks a full-time Urogynecologist to join its team on Long Island, New York. The Department consists of over 40 full-time and voluntary board-certified physicians providing care to a diverse community. As a member of MSSN and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, we offer the professional benefits of a major academic/research medical center. With over 2400 deliveries per year, the Department supports 16 residents in a four-year residency program and an active teaching program for third-year medical students. All OB/GYN sub-specialties are represented in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. We are seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Physicians in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery who can provide consistent, compassionate, high-quality, safe and patient-centric care, personalized to each patient. The successful candidate will possess clinical abilities demonstrated through training, education, certification and experience, strong interpersonal communication, leadership and organizational skills, and embrace the teaching mission of MSSN. The candidate must have or be able to obtain a valid New York State Medical License. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to partner with the world-renowned Icahn School of Medicine. Mount Sinai South Nassau’s Department of OBGYN is committed to caring for the whole patient with a focus on patient-centered care. The physician will work with a variety of specialists to provide the best care. Responsibilities
Teach medical students and residents by lecture, rounds, and clinical activity in the office and operating room Provide Urogynecology care, including ambulatory care and surgery in the hospital General administration duties including documenting and reviewing patient charts Participate in teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities; provide academic advising and related activities Involvement in training of Urogynecology fellows and research; the department has 3 residents per year (12 total), approved for 16 total Collaborate with colleagues as an integral part of the health system Significant opportunities for career development Dedicated support staff Qualifications
Medical Degree from an accredited program New York Medical License / Active NYS DEA Board Certified/Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery Excellent communication, bedside manner, and organizational skills Strong work ethic and ability to participate in a team-oriented, performance-driven environment Respectful collaboration and relationship-building with teammates Ability to Thrive in a constantly evolving environment, challenging the status quo and striving to innovate and improve care delivery Compensation range from $230,000 to $400,000 (not including bonuses/incentive compensation or benefits).
