Dinsmore is seeking an eDiscovery Analyst at its Cincinnati, OH location. The eDiscovery Analyst is responsible for supporting electronic discovery (eDiscovery) processes, managing digital evidence, and assisting legal teams with litigation, regulatory investigations, and compliance matters. This role involves handling data collection, processing, analysis, and review using industry-standard eDiscovery tools and technologies.
Responsibilities
Identify, collect, and preserve electronically stored information (ESI) from various data sources while ensuring chain-of-custody compliance Process and analyze digital evidence using eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Viewpoint, Everlaw) to ensure proper processing Assist legal teams in document review, redaction, and production, ensuring compliance with discovery protocols and legal requirements Collaborate with legal counsel, IT, and compliance teams to support discovery workflows, litigation holds, and investigation strategies Adhere to industry best practices, legal standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and company policies to maintain data security and confidentiality Maintain detailed records of eDiscovery processes, including chain of custody, project tracking, and technical documentation Provide guidance and training to legal teams on eDiscovery best practices, tools, and workflows
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Legal Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of experience in eDiscovery, digital forensics, or litigation support Proficiency with eDiscovery tools (e.g., Viewpoint, Everlaw, FTK), data processing software, and forensic methodologies Understanding of litigation processes, EDRM framework, and regulatory compliance (e.g., FRCP) Strong ability to analyze large datasets, identify relevant information, and troubleshoot technical issues Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with legal, IT, and compliance teams CEDS (Certified eDiscovery Specialist), EnCE (EnCase Certified Examiner), or similar, preferred Knowledge of scripting (e.g., Python, SQL) for data manipulation and automation Familiarity with enterprise data sources such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and database management systems
