$110,681.00 - $156,337.00 per year
Job Overview The PeopleSoft Lead Functional Analyst - Payables will act as the primary liaison between Information Systems and Payables business partners, ensuring that system functionality effectively supports the needs of all user groups. This role is responsible for researching, recommending, and influencing best practice solutions by leveraging deep expertise in PeopleSoft Payables applications and business processes. The analyst will create and maintain functional requirement specifications, drive process improvements, and guide proposed technology solutions. This position provides leadership and mentoring to team members and will play a key role in developing and executing application plans related to upgrades, patches, problem resolution, change requests, and system enhancements. The ideal candidate will combine strong functional knowledge with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams to deliver effective, efficient, and sustainable solutions.
Essential Functions
Configure and maintain PeopleSoft payables modules to meet business needs, ensuring alignment with business practices
Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement by leveraging delivered PeopleSoft payables functionality; conduct conference room pilots and other proof of concept activities to obtain buy-in for recommended configurations
Collaborate with developers on system customizations, reports, and integrations
Meet frequently with business stakeholders to continually review key objectives, discuss project pipeline, and build consensus around prioritization of work requests; attend project status meetings to review progress and present issues that may affect delivery schedules
Serve as subject matter expert for PeopleSoft payables functionality
Ensure that all requests follow the change management process and have a clearly articulated business case
Facilitate sessions to gather business requirements, identify current business process challenges, and perform fit/gap assessment with the delivered applications
Compile process flows, functional design specifications, test plans, and training materials
Support areas of PeopleSoft system design, implementation and functionality
Understand functionality of payables modules in addition to the interconnectedness of modules
Support peers, business and IT partners in designing and setting maintainable system functionality
Troubleshoot and solve PeopleSoft system configuration challenges using root cause analysis and system configuration changes
Understand and maintain knowledge of the system design and build to aid in development of new technologies and solutions
Create robust Business and Functional documentation to support Technical design, system/user testing and implementations
Collaborate with peers, business partners and IT to ensure effective system functionality
Maintain visibility to sustainable PeopleSoft design and implementations through training and research
Plan and implement solutions that rely on system configuration as the primary mode of development and recommend system customizations only when critically necessary
Influence business partners to redirect processes toward delivered configurations and functionality
Schedule and prioritize with limited input and use project management processes to maintain schedules and deadlines
Encourage knowledge sharing and mentorship within the team
Maintain visibility to group strategic roadmaps and promote system training/certification
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent or more years of work experience
7-10+ years experience with progressive responsibility implementing, upgrading, maintaining, and supporting PeopleSoft applications
Preferred:
Experience in the PeopleSoft Payables module preferred but any ERP Payables system experience will be a plus
Familiarity with expense and/or cash management/treasury is a plus
