Overview
Training Aircraft Readiness Systems Analyst (Journeyman) – Sabre Systems is recruiting to support the Naval Undergraduate Flight Training Systems Program Office (PMA 273) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. PMA-273 manages aircraft, simulators, and related systems that support the U.S. Navy’s undergraduate pilot training pipeline. The Program Office’s purview includes the acquisition, development, and maintenance of six trainer aircraft: TH-73 Thrasher, T-44 Pegasus, T-45 Goshawk, T-6 Texan II, and T-54A Marlin II, along with related simulator suites, academic materials, computer-based training integration systems, and contractor logistics support.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive training aircraft readiness analysis and support the Program Office through the review and assessment of all training aircraft readiness metrics.
Collect readiness information to analyze and evaluate.
Conduct technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with the system.
Prepare reports, studies and documentation; deliver presentations.
Work independently and as part of a team in researching data and developing analytical techniques and methodologies.
Assist more senior positions and/or perform functional duties under the oversight of more senior positions.
Qualifications
Education: Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university. Experience: 3 - 10 years of recent and relevant experience.
Key responsibilities: Perform detailed aircraft readiness analysis, including collecting, reviewing, and interpreting training aircraft metrics.
Proficiency in data management and analytical tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, databases) to support accurate and timely reporting.
Strong collaboration skills to work within the Program Office and support decision-making.
Effective communication skills to prepare reports, present findings, and support Program Office initiatives.
Must have or be able to obtain an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Compensation Mid/Journeyman Level. The salary range is typically $60,000-$150,000, based on location, qualifications, experience, and contract terms.
