Overview
EPIC Applications Analyst II - Patient Access at INTEGRIS Health. The Epic Application Analyst level 2 will be responsible for implementation, maintenance, and support of clinical applications used within the healthcare organization. This role works closely with clinical end-users, IT staff, and vendors to ensure clinical applications are optimized for usability and efficiency and meet the needs of clinicians and patients. Epic Applications Analyst Level 2 will implement, configure, and maintain Epic and other clinical applications, including the electronic health records (EHR), clinical decision support systems, and other clinical software. Collaborate with clinical end-users, IT staff, and vendors to identify opportunities for improving clinical workflows and processes using technology. Participate in system testing and validation to ensure the clinical applications meet regulatory requirements and user needs. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Ensure documentation is accessible to support staff and end-users. Participate in testing and validation activities related to Epic software upgrades and enhancements. Ensure that system changes do not negatively impact clinical workflows and patient care. Monitor and troubleshoot issues with clinical applications, and provide timely resolution to minimize impact on patient care and clinician productivity. Stay up to date with solutions in the Epic System or other clinical applications. Work collaboratively with operational and medical staff leaders to implement and align strategic initiatives. Participate in all phases of the system development life cycle including development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions. Participate in rounding in collaboration with clinical and business end users. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of experience, or Associate’s with 2 years of experience, or 3 years of healthcare or IT experience. Basic understanding of healthcare workflows and terminology. Epic Certification is required (certifications may include: EpicCare Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient, Radiant, Cupid, Optime, Anesthesia, Grand Central or other relevant Epic Apps). Occasional travel may be required. Experience communicating with a variety of audiences through verbal and written modalities. Knowledge of clinical workflows and processes, and experience implementing and supporting clinical software applications. Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical information to clinical staff and other stakeholders. Working knowledge of IT solutions and interfacing is preferred.
