Staff Product Manager, Infrastructure and System Security
The Trade Desk, Bellevue, New York, United States
Overview
The Trade Desk is changing the way global brands and their agencies advertise to audiences around the world. We offer a media buying platform that helps brands deliver a more insightful and relevant ad experience for consumers, while setting a new standard for global reach, accuracy, and transparency. We value the unique experiences and perspectives that each person brings to The Trade Desk and are committed to fostering inclusive spaces where everyone can bring their authentic selves to work every day. If you are talented, driven, creative, and eager to join a dynamic, globally-connected team, we want to talk! Who we are looking for
We are seeking a driven, staff-level Product Manager who thrives in ambiguity, learns quickly, and brings humility to complex problem spaces—especially at the intersection of infrastructure, security, and scale. This role sits at the heart of our efforts to build secure, resilient systems that protect our platform, users, and data across a rapidly evolving threat landscape. The ideal candidate is a technically fluent, systems-minded collaborator who understands how foundational infrastructure and security capabilities enable the broader mission of building a trusted, high-performance Trade Desk platform. What you will be doing
Lead the development of resilient, scalable platforms that safeguard critical systems, networks, and data across our global ecosystem. Define the vision and roadmap for security infrastructure, partnering closely with engineering, our cyber security team, and compliance teams to deliver robust solutions that protect against evolving risks while enabling business agility. Shape how we architect secure-by-design systems, enforce zero-trust principles, and ensure operational continuity across cloud and on-prem environments. Cover identity and access management, encryption, monitoring, and incident response tooling to fortify defenses and earn stakeholder trust. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to understand threat landscapes, regulatory requirements, and enterprise risk profiles, translating security and infrastructure needs into actionable product strategies. Deliver systems that are technically sound, compliant, scalable, and foundational to our ability to operate securely in a high-stakes environment. What you bring to the table
7+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in infrastructure, security, or platform domains. Product Strategy & Vision: ability to define and drive long-term roadmaps for secure, scalable systems that support enterprise-grade reliability and protection. Security & Infrastructure Expertise: familiarity with system architecture, threat modeling, identity and access management, and secure deployment practices. Stakeholder-Centric Mindset: experience partnering with internal teams (engineering, IT, compliance) and external vendors to understand infrastructure and security needs, translating them into impactful product capabilities. Cross-Functional Leadership: proven ability to lead and influence across engineering, security operations, compliance, and go-to-market teams. Data Fluency: comfortable interpreting telemetry, audit logs, and performance metrics to inform product decisions and improve system observability. Scalable Systems Thinking: experience designing and evolving infrastructure that supports high availability, fault tolerance, and secure multi-tenant environments. Strong Communication Skills: able to translate technical and security concepts into clear, actionable narratives for executives, engineers, and cross-functional partners. Bias for Action: comfortable navigating ambiguity, making trade-offs, and driving progress in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. Passion for Impact: you care about building systems that are technically sound and trusted by users and stakeholders. Grit & Iterative Problem-Solving: you embrace complexity, test multiple approaches, and persist until you find the right solution, especially when stakes are high. EEO and Legal notices
