They're developing autonomous technology deployed in real-world environments: vehicles navigating urban streets and serving customers daily. To scale safely, they've built simulation infrastructure that's foundational to how they develop: extensive test scenarios run continuously, validating changes before deployment. Their engineering culture balances velocity with rigor, maintaining tight parity between simulated and production systems. The simulation platform isn't just a testing tool; it's how autonomy engineers debug edge cases, how ML teams validate models, and how they gain confidence in system behavior. The team you'll join builds this core infrastructure, supporting everyone from QA engineers verifying quality to safety analysts assessing system readiness. If you're excited about infrastructure that directly enables safer, more capable autonomous systems at scale, you'll find meaningful problems to solve here. About the Role You'll design and build foundational simulation infrastructure in C++. You'll write high-performance, reliable code for critical workflows and collaborate with infrastructure and autonomy teams to ensure correctness, reproducibility, and consistency with deployed systems. Key challenges include comparing system behavior across different software versions and building tools to analyze behavior and performance at scale. What You'll Do Design and implement core simulation infrastructure in C++ Ensure simulation correctness, reproducibility, and efficiency Lead design reviews and technical decisions Build performance analysis and debugging tools What You'll Need 5+ years building production software Strong modern C++ proficiency Experience benchmarking, profiling, and optimizing complex systems Familiarity with large-scale or distributed compute environments Nice to Have Python experience for tooling and automation Experience with modern build systems Background in robotics, simulation, or embedded systems Experience modeling real-world systems (physics, sensors, agents, environments) We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all qualified candidates.
