5+ years of experience with Hadoop development and implementation Good knowledge of Hadoop Architecture and HDFS Proven understanding of Horton Works Hadoop, HBase, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Apache Spark, and Apache Storm Ability to write MapReduce jobs Hands-on experience with HiveQL Ability to write Pig Latin scripts Managing and deploying HBase Parallel distributed processing based on the MapReduce paradigm with Apache Spark Experience with Java and shell scripting Experience with Jenkins for Continuous Integration Good knowledge of back-end programming, specifically Java, JS, Node.js, and OOAD Experience writing to network-based APIs - preferably REST/JSON or XML/SOAP Analytical and problem-solving skills, applied to the Big Data domain Strong experience of deployments and administration in Linux/Unix environments Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of installation and configuring Hadoop-based monitoring tools (Nagios/Ganglia) is a plus Loading from disparate data sets - Familiarity with data loading tools like Flume, Sqoop Familiarity with the Java ecosystem and enterprise offerings, including debugging and profiling tools (jconsole), logging and monitoring tools (log4j, JMX)
