Overview
Network Security Engineer /Palo Alto Specialist — a full-time opportunity (contract or contract-to-hire considered) with a top 4 consulting firm. This role uses Palo Alto Networks technologies, including Panorama, WildFire, and DLP, to protect and manage critical infrastructure. If you are passionate about next-gen firewalls and want to take ownership of large-scale, enterprise-level security deployments, this is your role. You will work with a collaborative, growth-oriented team that invests in talent and supports continuous learning and certifications (PCNSE encouraged and supported). Responsibilities
60% Palo Alto NextGen Firewall work (Panorama, WildFire, DLP) 20% Network configuration and routing 10% Traffic analysis and security audits 10% Documentation and stakeholder collaboration Qualifications
3+ years of experience in network security, preferably in enterprise environments Strong understanding of the OSI model and network protocols Experience configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls Hands-on with Panorama and SCM for centralized management Proficient with SSL decryption, SWG, WildFire, and DLP Strong troubleshooting skills using traffic logs and analytics Familiarity with static and dynamic routing, and creating address objects/groups Excellent communication and collaboration skills PCNSE certification (preferred) Experience in firewall deployment projects Knowledge of automation/scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure) is a bonus Strong documentation and policy-building skills Applicants
