Overview Position Title: Help Desk Technician (Guam/Saipan)

Customer: U.S. Army Reserve 9th Mission Support Command (MSC)

Location: Ft Shafter, Hawaii

Clearance Required: Secret or Top Secret (preferred)

Contingent upon contract award.

Organization GC Associates USA (GCA) is seeking a Help Desk Technician (Guam/Saipan) for a potential contract to provide support to the US Army Reserve 9th Mission Support Command (MSC) C4IM Service and Support. The 9th MSC G6 manages all C4IM missions and C4IM Service and Support for the US Army Reserve in the Pacific, providing mission command sustainment through the Pacific LandWarNet (PLWN) for assigned and attached USAR units and personnel. The role supports operations and plans, network operations, and unified communications, in peacetime and contingent operations.

Responsibilities The following are expected as part of the role (illustrative):

Provide IT support services and troubleshooting for hardware and software in mixed environments (workstations, laptops, servers, mobile devices, A/V equipment).

Support workstations and devices in environments including SIPR, NIPR, CENTRIX, STAMIS, etc.

Assist with networking support and VTC (video teleconference) support as required.

Engage in a tiered Help Desk approach and manage work tickets using appropriate tools (e.g., Altiris Help Desk, Remedy).

Contribute to system configuration and deployment activities using OS delivery methods (e.g., Altiris Deployment Solution, SCCM).

Maintain familiarity with Active Directory and related IT infrastructure components.

Support documentation and compliance with DoD requirements, including IAT Level II certification per DoD 8570.1 where applicable.

Qualifications

5-7 years of experience providing IT support services troubleshooting hardware and software in mixed environments.

Extensive working knowledge of Active Directory.

Experience with OS deployment methods (e.g., Altiris Deployment Solution, SCCM).

Experience with a tiered Help Desk approach and work ticket tracking solutions (Altiris Help Desk, Remedy).

Experience with networking support and VTC.

IAT Level II certification (per DoD 8570.1).
