This is a full-time, on-site role for a highly experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist located in Grand Junction, CO. The CNC Programmer/Machinist will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts with minimal scrap. This involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, performing machining operations, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of machined parts. The role also includes troubleshooting and maintaining machines to ensure smooth operation and high-quality output. Responsibilities

Guide and mentor junior machinists - Help troubleshoot process, tooling, machine issues, etc. Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency in programming, setup, and operation. Interpret complex technical drawings – Specifically, understand Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing as it relates to manufacturing and inspection strategies. Determine manufacturing approach from print to part: Select tooling, design/fabricate fixturing, program, setup, and operate CNC machines. Master Autodesk’s “Fusion” CAD/CAM software. Inspect finished parts using precision metrology equipment such as micrometers, height gauges, bore gages, and CMMs to ensure adherence to quality standards. Monitor and document production processes to ensure consistency and quality Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety and company guidelines. Qualifications

Ability to lead others. Strong communication and teamwork skills are a must! Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist with both lathe and mill experience. Proficiency in CNC programming using CAD/CAM software such as Fusion, Mastercam, Gibbs Cam, or similar. Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and materials. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with GD&T accurately. Ability to problem-solve is a must. Technical certification or associate degree in machining or related field preferred. Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices and ISO 9001 quality systems is a plus. Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently Seniority level
