Global Risk Development Program Overview:
The Global Risk Development Program is a two-year development program in which participants rotate through two rotations across the Risk organization, as well as have opportunities to participate in ad hoc enterprise-critical projects that may arise. In this capacity, analysts partner with our business groups to help teams make critical business decisions to identify, manage, and mitigate risk.
The Global Risk Development Program will introduce you to Bank of America and the Global Risk Management (GRM) group. GRM is an enterprise control function that provides independent risk management for Bank of America. GRM’s function is to ensure the company pursues its Responsible Growth strategy through strong risk management practices while deploying its capital appropriately to support business activities and maximize shareholder value. GRM oversees the company’s governance and strategy for risk management, including relationships with key regulators and supervisory institutions worldwide.

Global Risk Opportunities
The Global Risk Development Program assigns analysts to teams across seven distinct types of risk. Rotational opportunities provide exposure to the following risk types, defined below:
Strategic Risk to current or projected financial condition arising from incorrect assumptions about external or internal factors, inappropriate business plans, ineffective business strategy execution or failure to respond in a timely manner to changes in the regulatory, macroeconomic, or competitive environments in the geographic locations in which we operate Market Risk that changes in market conditions adversely impact the value of assets or liabilities or otherwise negatively impact earnings. Market risk is composed of price risk and interest rate risk Credit Risk of loss arising from the inability or failure of a borrower or counterparty to meet its obligations Compliance Risk of legal or regulatory sanctions, material financial loss or damage to the reputation of the company arising from the failure of the company to comply with the requirements of applicable laws, rules and regulations or our internal policies and procedures Liquidity Risk of the inability to meet expected or unexpected cash flow and collateral needs while continuing to support our businesses and customers under a range of economic conditions Operational Risk of loss resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes or systems, people or external events Reputational Risk that negative perception of the company may adversely impact profitability or operations Team assignments are developed based on business need and aligned to skillset and therefore cannot be guaranteed.
Qualifications
Candidates are required to be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or accelerated (4+1) degree program from an accredited college or university. Eligible candidates must have a final graduation date between November 2025 and August 2026. GPA of 3.2 or higher is preferred Common areas of study include but are not limited to: Risk Management o Engineering o Finance o Supply Chain o Accounting o Public Policy o Economics o Compliance o Business Administration o Political Science/Legal o Mathematics o Data Science o Other related fields Candidates should possess a high level of intellectual curiosity, a drive for excellence, and a commitment to achieving sustainable results. Students should also hold strong academic skills and technical skills in Microsoft Office. Additionally, candidates should show proficiencies in leadership, teamwork, problem solving & analytical skills, verbal and written communication, and professionalism.
