Job Summary: GTT is hiring an Area Planner and Scheduler to support a high-profile infrastructure project at Thacker Pass—the largest lithium resource in the U.S. This role is focused on the Sulfuric Acid Plant (SAP) area of the project, performing advanced scheduling, progress monitoring, and planning functions. The ideal candidate will be experienced in EPCM scheduling on large-scale projects and skilled in Primavera P6, construction workflows, and coordination with subcontractors. This is a full-time, site-based opportunity offering Workforce Hub (camp) housing.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain integrated construction schedules for the SAP area Lead 90-day lookahead (Work Front Analysis) and 3-week lookahead (3WKLA) planning Perform progress variance analysis and recommend recovery strategies Interface with subcontractors to integrate and align schedules Monitor construction productivity and track the critical path Identify schedule risks and restraints and recommend mitigations Participate in quantity takeoffs and labor hour forecasting Support reporting deliverables per project procedures Collaborate across departments to ensure milestone alignment Issue and validate updates, studies, and resource loads Required Experience:
10+ years of EPC/EPCM project controls experience Minimum 3 years on large-scale infrastructure or energy projects Field and office planning/scheduling expertise using Primavera P6 Nice-to-Have Experience:
Previous work on sulfuric acid or chemical plant construction Experience integrating subcontractor schedules into a master plan Familiarity with project systems (if applicable) Required Skills:
Primavera P6 proficiency MS Office and project scheduling software skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Schedule control and analysis expertise Cross-functional collaboration and interface management Preferred Skills:
Engineering or construction knowledge Problem-solving and root cause identification Schedule risk assessment and mitigation Adaptability in high-paced, remote environments Additional Skills:
Resource loading, leveling, and variance reporting Integration of owner and design vendor input Familiarity with the startup and commissioning phase planning Benefits: Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund
