Deployment Engineer role at Jobs via Dice for Robert Half in Lafayette, Indiana. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the successful implementation, calibration, and optimization of gas metrology systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet industry standards and improve product performance. Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise in the design and calibration of gas meters to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with hardware and mechanical design teams to optimize meter performance for cost efficiency, pressure loss, and long-term durability. Enhance calibration processes by refining standards, equipment selection, and procedural methodologies. Work with software development teams to align digital functionality with physical meter performance, ensuring precise calibration. Serve as a company representative in discussions with regulatory authorities and certification bodies to maintain compliance with U.S. and international standards. Address customer concerns regarding meter measurement and calibration, providing expert-level support and solutions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing methods, calibration processes, and related equipment. Support manufacturing operations by streamlining meter calibration and testing workflows. Adhere to EH&S policies, IT security protocols, and other applicable regulations. Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in gas systems, flow measurement, or metrology. Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics and gas measurement principles; experience with ultrasonic or acoustic measurement is a plus. Proficiency in calibration systems, test methodologies, and quality assurance standards. Familiarity with product development and high-volume manufacturing environments. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Strong communication abilities, including experience working with regulatory bodies and customers.
