Act as the subject matter expert and oversee Clinical Technologist responsibilities within the Clinical Technologist scope of practice. Oversee onboarding, competency assessment, and ongoing training of all Clinical Technologists in the market. Travel to assigned clinics as requested by supervisor or Clinical Program Manager. Serve as trainer and educational resource, including coaching and developing staff. Provide oversight and final sign-off for new hire Clinical Technologists. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, workflows, and scope of practice. Assist other staff to maintain efficient clinic operations when not coaching or training. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and collaborate on Quality Improvement initiatives. Complete assigned peer chart audits and report findings to supervisors. Collaborate with supply chain to ensure medication and supplies are available; manage clinic inventory. Assist with interviews of Clinical Technologists and participate in feedback sessions and annual reviews. Promote efficient patient flow; use the electronic health record to update patient status, room patients, record vital signs, and document procedures. Uphold UVVC Core Values and Standards of Conduct. Identify and address areas of risk; fill in as a Clinical Technologist during staffing shortages. Maintain confidentiality and security of PHI in accordance with HIPAA and applicable laws. Other related duties as assigned. Location and travel This position covers 5 clinics in the North Chicago market (River Forest, Arlington Heights, Gurnee, Lincoln Park, Northfield). Regular presence at clinics is expected; any clinic can be your home base. Qualifications
Current State or Multi-State Licensure as an LPN or LVN. Minimum of two years of nursing experience in a patient care setting; previous Clinical Lead experience strongly preferred. Ability to travel to the five North Chicago clinics. Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA). Mastery of infection control, sterile technique, sterilization equipment, supply management, medication safety, and documentation in an electronic medical record. Analytical thinking and sound judgment. Strong computer skills and EMR proficiency. Ability to manage and motivate a team; dependable with good attendance.
