Data Analyst 2 - 25586 role at Mission Technologies, a division of HII. This opportunity resides with Warfare Systems (WS), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. Warfare Systems comprises cyber and mission IT; electronic warfare; and C5ISR systems. HII works within our nation’s intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace and anticipate emerging threats. Our capabilities in cybersecurity, network architecture, reverse engineering, software and hardware development uniquely enable us to support sensitive missions for the U.S. military and federal agency partners. Mission Technologies is leading the next evolution of national defense – the data evolution - by accelerating a breadth of national security solutions for government and commercial customers. Our capabilities range from C5ISR, AI and Big Data, cyber operations and synthetic training environments to fleet sustainment, environmental remediation and unmanned systems. This role supports DoD data initiatives and auditable financial transaction data for leadership decision making. Essential Job Responsibilities
Designs, models, documents, and guides the logical and conceptual relationship of data and database changes for complex applications. Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical, structural, and organizational specifications. May create standards and/or model to monitor and enhance capacity and performance. Creates scripts for data ingest pipelines (Python). Familiar with Relational Databases (SQL). Utilizes Agile development processes. Guides development aligned to established business needs and/or policies. Additional duties as assigned or required. Minimum Qualifications
3 years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s in related field; 1 year relevant experience with a Master’s in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent with 7 years relevant experience. Python experience. Ability to operate independently and within a team. Self-starter who takes initiative. Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance. Physical Requirements
