EP Design Services is part of a leading real estate development firm specializing in multifamily, mixed-use, residential, retail, and commercial development. We are seeking a motivated Architectural Designer with 1-5 years of experience to support the design and documentation of multi-family and commercial projects within our integrated architecture and development team. This role offers exposure to all project phases, from early concept through construction, with a focus on real-world, buildable solutions. The ideal candidate is proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, detail-oriented, and eager to collaborate across disciplines in a fast-paced, development-driven environment. Familiarity with New Jersey building codes and zoning is a plus. Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with senior architects, project managers, and development teams to design and document multi-family residential, mixed-use, and commercial projects.

Translate development goals, zoning constraints, and market considerations into viable design solutions that are cost-effective and visually compelling.

Assist in preparing design studies, feasibility analyses, and massing models that support early-stage development decision-making.

Create and refine presentation materials, including site plans, renderings, and diagrams, for internal stakeholders, community boards, and planning departments.

Develop schematic design, design development, and construction document packages using Revit, AutoCAD, and other digital tools, with an emphasis on constructability and code compliance.

Coordinate with structural, MEP, civil, and other consultants to ensure cohesive and coordinated design documents.

Participate in municipal planning and permitting processes, including preparation of zoning analyses and submission packages.

Assist during the construction phase, including reviewing shop drawings and submittals, conducting site visits, and collaborating with construction and development teams to address field conditions.

Research building materials, systems, and construction methods that balance design intent, performance, and budget constraints.

Maintain familiarity with local and state building codes, zoning ordinances, and planning board processes in New Jersey and other jurisdictions.

Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program.

Previous experience in multi-family residential projects preferred.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering tools strongly preferred.

Strong graphic, visualization, and presentation skills.

On track to or interested in pursuing Architectural Licensure (preferred but not required).
