Overview

Datronix Solutions is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to plan, design, build, and support a 24x7 LAN/WAN IP infrastructure including routing, switching, wireless, network security, and load balancing across multiple locations. The role requires developing, documenting, and implementing best practices and providing technical leadership on multiple projects. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience with Cisco SDWAN or MPLS, wireless network administration, and will serve as a subject-matter expert in routing and switching. Responsibilities

Plan, design, and optimize high-level LAN, WAN, and WLAN solutions. Develop strategies and direction for network solutions using current and emerging technologies. Create a highly scalable and resilient network environment. Perform network infrastructure readiness assessments. Analyze utilization and growth trends to provide proactive designs based on business needs. Translate business requirements into network and telephony process designs. Analyze technical needs and the state of the network infrastructure design, integration, and operations. Approve and modify design and architecture to ensure compliance. Develop implementation plans for LAN, WAN, and external connections, including vendor coordination, network drawings, and schedules. Develop design and implementation plans for digital transformation. Provide knowledge transfer and detailed design/operational documentation to clients. Participate in developing the enterprise unified communications strategy. Ensure timely resolution of all tickets and participate in incident, problem, and change control processes. Enable continuous improvement through the IT Service Center and Managed Service partners. Maintain and audit documentation for LAN, WAN, and WLAN networks (configuration, processes, service records, asset inventories, topologies, manuals, etc.). Support PCI-DSS compliance as applicable. Troubleshoot highly complex network and hardware problems. Manage assets and oversee maintenance and performance standards for data, wireless, voice, or video network hardware and systems. Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices; perform packet capture analyses for wired and wireless links. Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to clients; collaborate with vendors and internal teams. Participate in cross-functional initiatives related to network infrastructure, security, and operations. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT or related technical field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years’ experience with Cisco SD-WAN or MPLS; Aruba Networking (switches, routers, wireless) experience is required; Aruba ClearPass NAC (2 years) is preferred. Strong Cisco networking knowledge including design, VoIP, and hands-on configuration of routers, switches, controllers, access points, and cabling in medium-large enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN environments. CCNA and CCNP (preferred). Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, BGP, HSRP, VSS, captive portals, Radius/NAC, and VoIP troubleshooting in wired/wireless environments. Experience with WAN protocols, Microsoft 365 product configuration/troubleshooting, and server/workstation hardware and software. Understanding of cabling and termination; strong firewalls and security knowledge (NAT/traffic rules, L7/L3, port forwarding). Experience with VMware/Vsphere (3 years) and hosted unified communications platforms (desired but not required). Meraki, Linux, Datto/Remote Management, CCNP Wireless, and Aruba/Cisco device expertise are a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of an organization; quick learner with a desire to learn. PowerShell experience and cloud platform familiarity (AWS, Azure) are a plus.
