Design, develop, and deploy clear, captivating data-driven visuals in a variety of forms and formats that convey Moody’s Ratings risk expertise to new and existing audiences. Utilize expert knowledge of data visualization and full stack development to produce bespoke, visual and interactive research for publication. Create and maintain website templates to enable journalists and analysts to author interactive research content with seamless developer experience. Develop and support JavaScript chart libraries that can be integrated throughout analytical workflows. Ensure code reliability and integrity by writing unit tests for graphics and UI libraries. Work with the centralized IT team to ensure adherence to security and code quality best practices. Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Interaction Design, or related technical field plus at least four (4) years of experience in software development and designing technical solutions. Experience in full stack web development that includes modern JavaScript, HTML, and CSS within web frameworks such as Svelte or similar technologies (e.g., Angular or React). Experience using, building, and bundling JavaScript libraries with Vite or Webpack; writing unit tests in Jest or Vitest for UI components and data visualizations. Experience with data visualization tools and libraries for the web, including D3.js; working knowledge of agile development, UI design, and data analysis. Compensation and Benefits
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range is $160,805 - $160,805/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is for a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
