Are you ready to make a measurable impact on the future of nuclear energy? ENERCON is seeking a Project Engineer to support Power Uprate initiatives within our Nuclear Services Group. This is a high-visibility role where your work will directly contribute to increasing reactor output and optimizing performance at nuclear facilities across the country. Responsibilities
Lead strategic discussions, align your team to ensure quality and deadlines are met, keep clients informed and engaged. Dive into problem-solving, manage budgets, refine proposals, and identify new opportunities while motivating your team to turn challenges into wins. Strategic Impact: Power uprates are rapidly becoming a cornerstone of U.S. energy policy, driving transformation in nuclear power capacity. Career Springboard: Position yourself to be involved in future nuclear projects, including advanced and small modular reactor technologies. Mentorship & Growth: Work with senior SMEs who will provide hands-on mentorship and help you develop into a future power uprate specialist. Leadership Pathways: Role designed to groom engineers for leadership—technical specialization, team leadership, or guiding uprate studies and modifications. Collaborative Culture: Join a team that values innovation, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement. Leadership & Coordination: Provide interdisciplinary coordination for design engineering projects, manage client interactions, and serve as a single point of contact for assigned projects. Project Management Excellence: Plan, execute, and finalize projects within schedule and budget; manage project staff and prepare detailed reports; monitor financial status and overall project performance. Strategic Growth & Innovation: Develop winning, highly technical engineering proposals and support marketing efforts, including identification of new opportunities, proposal preparation, and follow-up. Qualifications
Design Engineering experience with modification and implementation processes, calculations, specifications, etc., in power facilities Minimum of 6 years' experience in the nuclear, power, or industrial industries as an Engineer or Project Manager Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering (or related) OR PMP Certification and 10 years' applicable experience PE license strongly preferred Ability to understand and work with budget and accounting processes Excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills Effective communication skills with demonstrated ability to work across disciplines and teams Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to gain and maintain unescorted access at nuclear sites Ability to travel between 10-15% of the time; duration of travel may vary depending on project and client needs Pay Range
