Overview
Fisher Associates is actively seeking a Bridge Project Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead bridge design, structural analysis, inspection, and load rating of transportation infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a Civil or Structural Engineer looking to make a meaningful impact on public infrastructure with a firm known for its technical excellence and innovative approach. As a key member of our civil/structural engineering team, you’ll collaborate on multidisciplinary projects, applying your bridge engineering expertise in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.
What You’ll Do
Lead bridge design, including load rating, structural analysis, and foundation design.
Develop design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for bridge and transportation structures.
Maintain detailed records of bridge design documents, reports, and budgets.
Participate in project planning meetings and align tasks to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
Support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations as needed.
Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes.
Conduct field inspections and prepare detailed bridge inspection reports and analyze foundation design.
Provide technical support during construction, respond to RFIs and attend site visits.
Mentor junior staff and support their technical development.

Salary $100,000-$130,000 annually
Requirements
B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a Master’s preferred.
Over 10 years of transportation experience; structures/bridge design experience preferred.
Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it.
Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD and Bridge Design Software.
Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT preferred).
