Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a
Systems Engineer
to support a program out of our
Aurora, CO
location. The Payload and Ground Systems organization within NGSP pushes the boundaries of innovation, redefines engineering capabilities, and drives advances in various sciences. Our team provides the skills, technologies to develop, design, produce and sustain optimized product lines across the sector while providing a decisive advantage to the warfighter. What You’ll Get To Do
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyzes at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Maintain existing operations procedures to include lessons learned from real-time performance and develop new procedures as required. Interfaces with program and customer personnel. The selected candidate should have a strong understanding of software development. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM related degree with 2 years of relevant experience; 0 years of relevant experience with a Master’s Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application and willingness to sit for a polygraph Cameo knowledge Software systems design experience Experience with JIRA Experience with decomposing Element requirements to Subsystem Experience with acceptance criteria creation Preferred Qualifications
Active TS/SCI with poly Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and CAMEO tools Salary and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
