Scans patients according to protocols and parameters with knowledge of troubleshooting MRI systems. Archives patient exams. Starts IVs when required by scope of practice. Adapts to different MRI environments (1.5T, 3T) and operating room settings. Functions in different patient monitoring systems throughout the organization. Follows MRI safety guidelines according to organizational policy. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above. Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills. Ability to provide care appropriate to the population served. Qualifications

Licenses Required Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system. The eCredential is to be obtained within 30 days of hire. One of the following: ARRT Registration as Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T. (MR) (ARRT). MRI Technologist Certification from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additional license requirements as determined by the hiring department. Preferred Qualifications Three (3) years of technical MRI experience. Working Conditions and Physical Demands
