Overview

The Department of Surgery at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). The APP will provide inpatient care in a multidisciplinary SICU team that includes trauma, general surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, and other subspecialties. Responsibilities

Provide inpatient critical care management in the SICU Collaborate with attending physicians and a multidisciplinary team of clinicians Supervise a team including medical residents and potentially medical students, APP residents, and APP students Independently perform invasive procedures (e.g., intubation, bronchoscopy, chest tube placement, central line placement, arterial line placement) and supervise others performing these procedures Engage in didactic education content, quality improvement projects, journal club, and research projects Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA program National specialty certification as an Acute Care ANP, Acute Care PNP/NNP, or NCCPA certification Licensure and Certifications

Eligible for NH RN license (APRNs only) and NH APRN or PA licensure Eligible for Federal DEA Registration BLS certification; ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP as appropriate Employment Details

Full-time, salaried position with benefits Schedule includes day and night shifts with rotating weekend coverage Faculty appointment at the level of Instructor through Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth will be requested Benefits
