The Brudnick Center for Living is a CMS 5-star nursing facility offering short-term rehabilitation, traditional long term care, and memory care. Position Summary
As a member of the nursing team and reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Unit Manager oversees and directs the day-to-day activities of the Dementia Care Specialty Unit. You will be part of a management team of professionals committed to quality care and personal growth. Primary Responsibilities
Assumes responsibility for all nursing care provided to residents within the Unit; knows residents’ conditions at all times; observes and supervises nursing care according to physician’s orders and established standards and policies. Recognizes and interprets symptoms, reports on residents’ conditions and assists with or institutes remedial measures of adverse developments. Maintains a physical, social and psychological environment conducive to residents’ welfare. Investigates and studies trends in nursing practices and assesses their adaptability to nursing policies. Instructs staff in policies and procedures and ensures policies are followed by nursing staff. Qualifications
Current MA RN or LPN license 1 to 3 years’ supervisory experience (preferred) Graduate of an accredited nursing program Excellent clinical assessment skills Effective written and verbal communication Strong organizational skills Ability to represent the organization onsite and in the community Maintain regulatory compliance with state and federal guidelines Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff and medical team Collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Executive Director to ensure quality, person-centered care Benefits
