dynamic, hands-on Director of Nursing (DON)
to lead our nursing department. We are looking for a
strong leader
who can inspire, mentor, and hold staff accountable while maintaining a culture of compassion and excellence in resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide confident leadership, discipline, education, and training for the nursing team Maintain strong interpersonal relationships with staff, residents, families, and external agencies Communicate effectively with the
California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations Be hands-on and visible on the floor, leading by example Ensure thorough and accurate documentation in
PointClickCare (PCC) Oversee survey preparation, execution, and corrective action plans Mentor and develop staff for professional growth and retention Resolve conflicts and foster a positive work culture Drive improvements in quality measures and maintain high standards of care Manage budgets, staffing, and scheduling for nursing services Analyze data and implement performance improvement initiatives Collaborate with department heads to achieve facility-wide goals
Qualifications: Current, unencumbered RN license in California Minimum 3 years of Director of Nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility In-depth knowledge of SNF state and federal regulations Proven success in leading nursing teams and improving facility performance Proficiency in PointClickCare (PCC) Exceptional organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Ability to make sound decisions under pressure Compassionate, resident-focused approach to leadership
