Job Description : Principal Investigators, Dr. Barry Stripp, PhD and Dr. Changfu Yao, PhD are looking for a Postdoctoral Scientist to join their research labs! The Stripp and Yao laboratories constitute the Lung Regeneration group at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, seeking to understand basic mechanisms of lung maintenance, how this is disrupted in disease, and to develop regenerative medicine approaches that will restore structure and function to damaged lung tissue. About The Role : The Postdoctoral Scientist will perform routine and complex procedures throughout the training period, analyzing and interpreting data, and assisting in preparation of grant proposals and publications. Primary Duties and Responsibilities : Designs and performs experiments. Keeps appropriate experimental records and documentation, and analyzes the results with the Principal Investigator. Analyzes, interprets, summarizes, and compiles data. Operates and maintains equipment and instruments. May prepare and submit NIH-F31 application or similar fellowship to non-federal agencies. Qualifications : Doctorate degree (MD, PhD, VMD, or DDS) in area directly related to field of research specialization. Experience : Works independently on research projects designed by a mentor, acquiring complete technical and theoretical knowledge of research project and objectives during one to five (1-5) year post-doctoral appointment.
