Quantitative Investment Strategy & Analytics Analyst – New York SiriusPoint is a global underwriter of insurance and reinsurance with offices in New York, London, Stockholm and other locations. We are listed on the New York Stock Exchange (SPNT) and offer Property & Casualty and Accident & Health insurance and reinsurance globally. Our investment team focuses on developing, building, and implementing sophisticated quantitative decision support systems and tools to enhance investment decision-making, portfolio construction, risk management, and capital allocation. You will work with portfolio managers, strategists, risk management, and technology teams to ensure robust and scalable quantitative solutions are integrated into our investment workflow. Our investment activity supports underwriting operations and seeks attractive risk-adjusted returns through disciplined balance sheet management and optimized capital allocation. Responsibilities
Methodology & Framework Development: Design and develop core quantitative methodologies, analytical frameworks, and models that underpin investment tools and systems, ensuring robustness, accuracy, and alignment with objectives and risk appetite.
Decision Support System Development: Build and implement quantitative models and tools for asset allocation, portfolio optimization, risk attribution, and performance analytics.
Strategic Portfolio & Exposure Targeting: Define and track strategic portfolio targets, long-term exposure limits, and risk budgets across asset classes and risk factors.
Investment Strategy & Structuring Implementation: Translate strategies, capital structuring initiatives, and liability-driven investment (LDI) frameworks into executable models and algorithms.
Tactical Rebalancing Frameworks: Create automated and semi-automated tactical rebalancing frameworks and triggers, optimizing for transaction costs, liquidity, and tax efficiency.
Model Development & Automation: Develop and improve quantitative processes and create models for portfolio construction, scenario generation, and rebalancing across asset classes.
Data Integration & Management: Work with large datasets, ensure data quality, integrity, and efficient flow into models; automate data pipelines and reporting where applicable.
System Integration & Deployment: Collaborate with IT and stakeholders to ensure models and systems are integrated and deployable.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor performance of strategies and models, identify improvements, and optimize solutions for efficiency and accuracy.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate and streamline investment workflows; drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with portfolio management, risk, sector specialists, and actuarial teams to deliver tailored quantitative solutions aligned with risk appetite and regulatory constraints.
Documentation & Governance: Ensure models and systems are well documented and comply with internal governance and validation standards.
Salary The estimated salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000 per year. Salary will reflect relevant experience, location, and other factors.
