LHH is partnering with an established manufacturing company, located in the Ann Arbor area, in the search for a Staff Accountant. As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the month-end close process. Performing day-to-day general accounting functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, including fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany accounts. Reconciling bank and credit card accounts and investigating discrepancies. Supporting accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and customer/vendor communication. Participating in audits and assisting with documentation requests. Contributing to special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned by management. Qualifications
Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 2+ years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency with accounting software/ERP Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and learn new systems and tools quickly. A collaborative spirit and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement. Employment details
