The Harker School . We are seeking a highly qualified candidate for this position at our Middle School campus, starting in August 2025 for the 2025–2026 school year. Our teachers create dynamic learning environments inside and outside the classroom, fostering community and teamwork. Position Summary:
Plan, organize, and implement instructional programs that encourage students to develop academically and personally. Bachelor’s Degree or higher required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Overarching Expectations
Uphold the mission of the school and serve as a positive ambassador. Maintain respectful interactions with students, parents, and colleagues. Communicate effectively and timely with all stakeholders. Navigate and utilize Harker’s internal systems proficiently. Organize effectively, handle confidential information, and work independently or in teams. Speech and Debate Specific Duties
Collaborate with the Head Speech & Debate Coach to: Encourage broad participation and support all students in tournaments. Manage tournament logistics, schedules, and communication with families. Support practice schedules, organize intramural competitions, and oversee budgeting and travel arrangements. Coach students in various debate and speech events. Beyond the Classroom
Attend meetings, communicate with counselors and parents, and participate in school functions beyond school hours to foster community. In the Classroom
Create respectful, engaging, and well-organized lessons that maximize student learning and demonstrate strong content knowledge. Our Mission:
