Overview
Junior High Math & Science teaching position at St. Francis of Assisi School in Seahurst, WA. This is a full-time role teaching 7th grade mathematics and 7th–8th grade science programs (Chemistry, Physics, Biology). The teacher will serve as 7th grade homeroom teacher and a grade-level team member. Responsibilities
Creating and developing lesson plans for teaching 7th grade mathematics and 7th & 8th grade science (Chemistry, Physics, Biology) Serve as 7th grade homeroom teacher and grade-level team member Measure student progress utilizing formative and summative assessments Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs Demonstrate understanding and appreciation of junior high developmental characteristics Collaborate with colleagues to deliver highly effective instructional practices aligned with best practices Communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators Attention to detail, highly organized, and strong classroom management skills Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, Mathematics, or related field Valid Washington State teaching certificate 3+ years experience teaching middle school or junior high aged students Ability to engage students in meaningful, authentic learning experiences Commitment to lifelong learning and ongoing professional development Experience integrating technology into classroom instruction Proficiency in differentiated instruction and data-driven decision-making Understanding and implementation of positive classroom management using PBIS systems Commitment to whole-child education A passion for promoting respect and responsibility within the school community Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong organizational abilities Enthusiasm for fostering positive student-teacher-family relationships Desirable Details

Salary range: $57,000 – $90,000. Salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications. Benefits
