Full Time Addictions Counselor

Compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor/Therapist Needed !!! Primary Job Function: The counselor will be in charge of assisting patients through medically assisting treatments and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. The counselor conducts individual sessions and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. The counselor will evaluate patients’ progress during counseling and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to assist the patients’ achieving overall outcomes. Responsibilities: Conduct individual initial assessment and evaluation interviews for service eligibility determination Complete Bio-psychosocial assessments Facilitate intakes or assist with the intake process Facilitate, establish, and review with each patient the initial treatment plan Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans Provide individual and group counseling services; direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment Other related duties as determined by supervisor Qualifications | Education | Certifications: Applicants must currently hold an ADT or ADT eligible status in the State of Maryland. Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus.
