Tax & Accounting
to join our team. The position involves a diversified mix of General Accounting and Income Tax Preparation. The candidate will evaluate and record client business transactions and the work of any accountants assigned to their workload. The role requires a strong understanding of general accounting, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. This position will involve frequent interactions with cross-functional teams and with clients and subordinates. Key Objectives
Responsibilities
Analyze and review general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy, closings, and journal entries.
Work in all phases of tax planning, tax preparation, review, compliance, and research.
Prepare various tax returns, including Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate.
Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts and identify areas for improvement.
Collaborate with Partners and Managers and assist the team with ad-hoc assignments and special projects.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Required)
CPA or CPA candidate
At least 5+ years of experience in a CPA firm
Experience using UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite and Intuit products (Preferred)
Able to work independently and within a team
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
Job Details
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: 9:00am – 5:30pm; Remote to Hybrid with increased hours during busy seasons
Location: Initially remote; hybrid in Columbia or Lexington, South Carolina as office is established
Salary: $75K – $105K annually, commensurate with experience
