LEA-Architects is a nationally recognized firm headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Our design philosophy is to incorporate specific designs that are in direct response to each client’s individual functional requirements, community influences, site and climatic constraints, sustainability goals, and budgetary limits. Over the last 5 decades LEA has designed over 150 Fire Stations, Public Safety Facilities, Educational Buildings, Airports, Libraries, Admin/Offices, Police projects and Courts. LEA’s practice also focuses on private sector projects ranging in scale from single family residences, urban infill, to large scale commercial and mixed use projects.
Responsibilities As a
Project Architect
with LEA you will be involved in all phases of project development including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Your role will include management of multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full development of construction drawings and coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape, civil engineering and other consultants.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture + 5-10 years of professional experience is required
Architectural License is
Applicants must have experience with the creation / coordination of the full spectrum of architectural & construction documents utilizing Revit with skills managing the integration of supporting engineering documents.
Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines
Perform QA/QC and technical reviews
Skills in AutoCAD, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office, and Sketch Up
Experience with construction submittals, substitution requests, and RFI's, during construction
Excellent working knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
Strong understanding of how buildings are constructed with ability to generate technical documents that succinctly describe the design intent and requirements.
Sustainable design and construction experience including LEED and or Green Globes Certification
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and management skills
Experience leading design and construction meetings with client and contractor.
Experience interfacing with building permitting officials during design and construction.
